Privacy.

Plain English. This is the whole policy. It is short because Loon collects very little.

Who we are

Loon is designed and built by Ahmed Nadar, in Toronto, Canada. When this page says "we", it means him.

What we collect

• Your email and license key when you buy.
• Your payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card.
• That is it. No browsing history, no file contents, no ambient audio.

What we do not collect

• Your files, your photos, your messages.
• Your audio, your transcripts, your conversations.
• Your screen contents.
• Usage events, advertising identifiers, or tracking pixels from inside the Loon app itself. (This website counts visits to itself, separately — see Cookies below.)

What stays on your Mac

• What Loon remembers about you: your people, your relationships, your notes, your important dates, your preferences.
• Your chat history, your routines, your persona file, your browser profile and logins.
• It lives in one place on your Mac. There is no cloud sync, no server-side copy, and no Loon account holding any of it.
• You can see everything Loon remembers about you, and delete any single item, from Settings.

What leaves your Mac

This is the complete list. Nothing else goes anywhere.

• What you ask Loon. Your request goes to a language model so it can be answered. We do not keep a copy.
• Your voice, and Loon's voice. What you say becomes text so Loon can understand it, and Loon's answer becomes speech. Audio travels for that and nothing more. We do not keep a copy.
• A license check. Once per launch, to heyloon.com, carrying your license key and a device identifier. No analytics ride along with it.
• A picture of your screen, taken when you open Loon. It's taken before Loon's own window covers your screen, so Loon can answer about what you were just looking at. If you close Loon without asking anything, that picture is deleted. If you send a request, it travels with it.
• Whatever you explicitly ask for. A web page you ask Loon to read, the weather when you ask about weather, a song lookup, a public profile when you ask Loon to help you reply to someone.
• What you approve for posting. A comment or reply you asked Loon to post goes to that site (LinkedIn, X) from Loon's own browser on your Mac, and only after you said yes or set the routine yourself.
• Billing, and only if you open it. A Stripe customer portal session; we never see your card or your invoices.

The companies we use

Turning speech into text, text into speech, and questions into answers is done by specialist providers under contract to us. We send them the request together with the context Loon needs to answer it, for example that your brother is vegetarian when you are putting dinner on your calendar. Nothing is stored there, nothing trains on you, and no Loon server holds any of it.

Cookies

This website counts its own visits: two small cookies of its own, so a repeat visit reads as one person instead of two. Your IP address is shortened before it is ever stored, and only a city-level location comes from what's left of it. Nobody outside this site sees any of it: no third party, no advertising network, no cookie that isn't ours.

Nothing reports back

Loon carries no analytics, no trackers, no advertising identifiers, and no usage events. Nothing inside it reports back on how you use it, how often, or what for. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data. There is no support desk yet and no inbox to write to. The list form is the way to reach us, and it has a box for your message. We answer within 30 days.
